An Amazon reader's comments on the book:
Writing as a mother who lost a daughter, I must recommend this book. We can keep our minds open and keep our child's love alive. Lauren sends her mother the most important message we will ever receive; that is to love unconditionally. In this world where horrible things happen, it may be easy to hate those who do us harm. It doesn't have to be that way. I congratulate Jan for having the courage to write this book.

Lauren,
Just wanted you to know that since I knew of your passing I have prayed for you and your family. You left us way too soon, but I know your spirit is present in our lives everyday. Your spirit and memory lives on. I really do not listen to music, but since I heard the song Yellow on your site I fell in love with the song. I bought the cd and listen to it all the time, and think of you. So much I had my favorite band Frank and Dave (local band) learn the song for me, really for you. I told them your story and they incorporated the song to their repertoire. They play locally and every time they see me in the crowd they sing the song. I can feel you there, your energy. I see you there singing along and smiling.

Four years ago today many lives had changed. You are gone, but NEVER forgotten. You continue to do so much for others. I can close my eyes and still see you standing outside in your backyard questioning what you were wearing. This coming from a girl who looked good in anything she wore. I try and think of the happy and not the sad. God Bless you. Please give nonie and "that man" (as she called him lol) a big hug from me. I miss you all.

To the Kiefer family, I was shocked and stunned and saddened to learn of Lauren's death, many a day I would see her at the glass court and she would smile and say hello and tell me to have a good day. Words cannot express the loss of such a beautiful young woman. I will miss her dearly, my only resolve is that she went home to Christ on his birthday, may she rest in peace,I will miss you dearly Lauren, you became a true friend and you made each and every day a special one not only for myself but for many others of your extended family at the Glass court.
