John Farquhar attended Willowbrook High School in Villa Park, IL.

John was a Lt. Commander in the U.S Navy. He served as director of the Allied Forces Southern Europe Band in Italy and the Pacific Fleet Band in Hawaii. He passed away unexpectedly at the age of 47. John was interred in Arlington National Cemetery in recognition of his many mlitary contributions.
