Rest In Peace, Dr. David Pierce Christianson. Christianson recently passed away in Monterey, California, at the age of 72.
A Georgia football letterman from 1972-1974, Christianson, or “Nish,” as he was nicknamed as a freshman at UGA, “ran the best, most crisp pass routes I have ever seen by a wide receiver,” according to a Georgia teammate of his. Hailing from Villa Park, Ill., Christianson led Georgia’s 1971 freshman Bullpups team in receiving.
