What a great site. I'm honored to have been included. I've update (and edited just a bit) my bio ..
Bob Shamo (now retired), Willowbrook’s Orchestra Director in the 70’s, served as Director of Admissions for the DePaul University School Music as well as the music faculties of University of Illinois and Northern Illinois University.
An outstanding professional-level violist, he performed with the Grant Park Symphony for over 30 years. Following retirement, Bob and his wife, Jean, moved to South Carolina, where they co-founded and for 13 years performed with Chamber Music Hilton Head, a regional repertory ensemble. Tiring a bit of SC, Bob and Jean recently moved back to Illinois and now live the city life in a Chicago condo.
Ken Greenhouse succeeded Maurice Dobbins as WB's choral director. A finer teacher I have never known. Many, many WB students felt similarly and were stunned by his untimely passing last year.
