Mark Karasek, Class of 1980
Mark is Executive Vice President Engineering & Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for The Chamberlain Group, a business unit of Duchossois Industries, Inc.
Mark joined Chamberlain in 1994 as a manager in the Engineering Department. Since that time, his contributions have steadily grown and most recently he was named Executive Vice President Engineering in 2006. Before joining Chamberlain, Mark held R&D and project management positions with Illinois Tool Works, Pennsylvania State University Applied Research Laboratory, and Wilson Sporting Goods. Mark Received his Ph.D. in Polymer Science from The Pennsylvania State University and his M.S. in Mechanical Engineering and B.S. in Engineering Mechanics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
