Alumni Stories
John Farquhar
Class of 1969
See www.arlingtoncemetery.net/jhfarq.htm, the Arlington National Cemetery (history) link.
The late John Farquahar, always fun and approachable, funneled his musical talent and passion (which was developed during Willowbrook's Dick Kamm band) into a career of service to his country, as an officer in the United States Navy. Sadly, John passed away too soon. He is interred in Arlington National Cemetery in recognition of his distinguished contributions to the Armed Services Forces School of Music program. He served as director of the Allied Forces Southern Europe Band in Italy and the Pacific Fleet Band in Hawaii.
