| About Me | After graduating from VCU in 2002, I moved to New York and started working in marketing/advertising at Ralph Lauren's corporate offices. After a couple of years there, I landed at Barneys New York as the buyer of men's designer collections. I am now the men's Trend Director for Bloomingdale's department stores. My job is to be a "cool hunter" for the buyers, to travel around the world and discover what's "hot" for the customer, developing trend forecasts several times a year. I spend about 45% of my year somewhere else in the world. Most time is spent in Milan, Paris & London, but I also frequently visit places like Tokyo, Hong Kong, Stockholm, Florence, Berlin, St. Tropez, Amsterdam & South America. Besides trend forecasting, I plan, style and execute all marketing/advertising/catalogs for the company, as well as work with PR and Visual on things related to all 40 stores.
