About	Norma Ruth Nininger Mayfield, 82, of Roanoke, Va., died on Thursday, August 27, 2026. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Melvin Leonard Mayfield and her parents, Charles Logan Nininger and Gladys Aker Nininger. Norma spent 39 years in blood bank and transfusion services. Donations of blood will help save someone's life. DONATE! As per her wishes, there will be no visitation or memorial service. Norma wishes that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
