Michael Wayne (Hammer) Hammer, 49, of Vinton, went to his Heavenly Home on Sunday, April 6, 2008. Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Gloria J. Hammer and fiance, Tommy Tyson, of Vinton; father, Stephen W. Hammer and his wife, Michelle, of Buchanan; sister, Theresa H. DeWitt and companion, Brad Enslow, of Moneta; three nephews, Daniel, Stephen and Benjamin DeWitt, of Moneta; devoted companion, Trish Snead, of Vinton; long time devoted friend, Susan Robertson, of Roanoke; and many more devoted friends. A celebration of his life will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 10, 2008, at his mother's home, at 911 Claiborne Avenue, Vinton, Va.
