He was preceded in death by his father, Harley D. Carr. Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Mavis S. Carr of Roanoke; three sisters, Susan Dawn Perdue of Cloverdale, Cathy C. Bower of Vinton and Cynthia C. Garman of Castle Rock, N.C.; six nieces; two nephews, and his special friend and Guardian Angel, Trudy L. Thompson of Roanoke.
A funeral service will be conducted from Oakey's North Chapel at 1 p.m. Monday, December 15, 1997. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Oakey's North Chapel.
