Wanda Dooley Shifflett, 87, of Vinton, VA went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 23, 2026. She was born in Roanoke, VA on January 12, 1939, to the late James and Lena Dooley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 39 years, Richard Shifflett; son Jeffrey Shifflett and bother, Jimmie Dooley.
Wanda is a graduate from William Byrd High School. She worked as a secretary for Nelson Roanoke for many years and then for Deluxe Floor. She enjoyed crafting, dominoes with her friends and gardening. She was actively involved with the church "Walkie Talkies"
Wanda is survived by her grandchildren, Chelsey Bobbitt (husband, Shane) and Cory Shifflett (wife, Chelsey); brother, Barry Dooley (wife Virginia Ann); numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; nephews, Brandon Dooley and Kirk Dooley (wife, Amanda) and good friend Robert Simmons.
All services will be private.
