About	Albert “Wayne” Overstreet, 76 of Vinton, Virginia passed away on Thursday, November 27, 2025. Wayne was born in Roanoke, Virginia on April 20, 1949 to Johnie and Vida Mattox Overstreet. He was raised in Vinton and continued to reside there during his lifetime. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Carlton Overstreet; and his beloved wife, Sue who passed away in 2020. Wayne worked for Trailways Bus, the Kodak Film Company, and as a Security Guard for the Home Shopping Network Warehouse. He enjoyed traveling with his family on regular trips to Myrtle Beach and camping trips in Florida to go to Disney World. Wayne also loved to ride motorcycles and watching sports, especially the Washington Redskins football team. He was a longtime member at First Christian Church in Vinton. Wayne is survived by his son, CW Overstreet (Julie) and their children, Chase Overstreet and Shannon Vest (Zachary); his daughter, Jennifer Overstreet and her children, Crystal Martin (Devon) and Michael Wright; his great-granddaughter, Emma Overstreet; special friend, Samantha Heckman; and many extended family members. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
