Zela Marie Riddle Bryant, 96, of Roanoke, passed away on Tuesday, October 23, 2012. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Scott Bryant; parents, Walter Lee Riddle and Mabel Williamson Riddle; and brother, Roy Lee Riddle. Zela was a lifelong member of Villa Heights Baptist Church (87 years), the WMU and Class Secretary/Treasurer. Surviving is her daughter, Carol Bryant Gentilini. The family wishes to thank the staff of Friendship Health and Rehab and Good Samaritan Hospice for their care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Villa Heights Baptist Church Building Fund, the Roanoke SPCA or Good Samaritan Hospice. A funeral service will be held at noon on Thursday, October 25, 2012 at Oakey's North Chapel with Rev. Jake Huffman officiating, where the family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Evergreen Burial Park.
