About	Virginia Iola Bowles, 94, of Roanoke County, passed away Sunday, June 22, 2008. She was born June 7, 1914, to the late William D. Bowles and Mamie Turner Bowles. Also preceded in death by a sister, Ann Cary; baby brother, James Bowles; Holly Bowles, Tom Bowles, John Bowles and Donald Bowles. Virginia served with the school system as a teacher's assistant for many years. She was a long time and dedicated member of the Riverdale Baptist Church. A service celebrating Virginia's life will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 25, 2008, from the Lotz Vinton Chapel. Burial to follow at Mountain View Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 24, 2008, from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Lotz Funeral Home, Vinton Chapel.
