About	Larry D. Arthur, 87, of Vinton, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, January 11, 2017, after a long illness. God probably said to him, "Well done, thou good and faithful servant," because that's what he was. Larry was a lifelong resident of Vinton; he was also a lifelong member of Vinton Baptist Church. He was a graduate of William Byrd High School and was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. He taught music in Vinton for many years and played the organ for various weddings, funerals and churches. He was predeceased by his parents, Emmett A. and Annis P. (Wilson) Arthur; sisters and brothers in-law, Vera A. and Charles I. Kingery, Alice M. and John J. Day; brother, Joseph A. Arthur; nephew, Joseph A. Arthur II, and a niece, Dawn Adams. He will be sadly missed by his sister, Barbara L. Arthur of Pawtucket, R.I.; sister in-law, JoAnn (Moore) Arthur of Huddleston; nephews, Richard D. Day of Pawtucket, R.I. and Mark P. Arthur of Huddleston. The family wants to express their thanks and appreciation to Andrea P. Reed of Goodview and Jean (Williams) DeLong of Vinton for their support and kind compassion at this sad time.
