About	Charlotte Ann (Susie) Hiler, Ret. Lt. Col. USAF, 76 of Moneta, Va., passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2008. She was a member of Franklin Heights Baptist Church of Rocky Mount, Va. and retired United States Air Force Nurse Corps of 20 years service, serving in many state side duty assignments and one overseas assignment to Portugal. A graduate of William Byrd High School, Vinton, Va. and graduate of Wilford Hall United States Air Force Hospital Anesthesia School, San Antonio, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ruth O. and Eddie W. Hiler; brother, Bobby R. Hiler all of Moneta, Va. Ms. Hiler is survived by one niece and three nephews, Carolyn and Richard (Rick) Franklin, Waynesville, N.C., Ray and Elaine Hiler, Seneca, S.C., William (Bill) Hiler of Roanoke, Va., Kevin and Mary Hiler, Cape Girardeau, MO; several great-nieces and great-nephews; sister-in-law, Elizabeth P. (Libby) Hiler of Waynesville, N.C.; and many close friends of Roanoke and the local area of Moneta. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 11 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. J. Larry Holland officiating. A graveside service will be conducted from Evergreen Burial Park (Roanoke) 2 p.m. Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Scruggs Rescue Squad, c/o Captain Wally Brown, P.O. Box 844, Hardy, Va., 24101 or Carilion Hospice of Franklin County, 180 Floyd Ave. Rocky Mount, Va., 24151. Her family will be receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday prior to the service at Flora Funeral Service, 665 South Main Street, Rocky Mount.
