About	Hershel Thoth Tribbett, 70, of the Mt. Pleasant area of Roanoke County, died Sunday morning, June 29, 2008. Hershel grew up in Roanoke and graduated from William Byrd High School in 1956. He graduated from San Francisco Art Institute in 1965 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree (with honors), received his Master of Arts degree in Psychology in 1994 from California State University and was ordained a Hermeneutic minister in 1995 in the state of California. He taught art and photography at Mt. Tamalpais High School in Mill Valley, California, for 13 years, where he received numerous honors. Hershel owned several businesses and authored a book "Moonscapes" in 1976. He was preceded in death by his father, Judson E. Tribbett and he is survived by his mother, Eva Nolen Tribbett, of Roanoke; his brothers, William Tribbett and wife, Trudy, of Greenville, S.C., Gerald (Jerry) Tribbett and wife, Irene, of Roanoke, John Tribbett and wife, Janet, of Burke, Va.; his sister, Sharon Reilly and husband, Kevin, of Annandale, Va.; six nephews; one niece; three great-nephews and three great-nieces. A memorial service will be held at Oakey's Vinton Chapel Tuesday, July 1, 2008 at 10 a.m. with Pastor Eric Spano officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Parkinson's Action Network.org in his memory. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Oakey's Vinton Chapel, 540-982-2221.
