Harold Lee Ayers, 50, of Vinton, was received in his mother's arms in heaven on Sunday, July 15, 2012. He was born January 2, 1962, a son of Harold Dean and the late Peggy Bobbitt Ayers.
Harold graduated from William Byrd High School in 1980, and was employed at Accellent.
In addition to his loving mother, Peggy Ayers, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Daniel and Cornelia Ayers, Walter and Girlie Bobbitt and an uncle, Tony Bobbitt.
Harold is survived by his dad, Harold D. Ayers; brother, Danny and wife, Sharon Ayers; sister, Vicki Pritchard; nephews, Lee, D.W., Michael and Gage; nieces, Brianna and Jessi, all of Vinton; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Also surviving are brother-in-law, Kevin Pritchard; Susie Ayers; stepson, Brandon Motley and wife, Tiffany; and stepgranddaughters, Sophia and Amara.
Funeral services will be conducted 10 a.m. Friday, July 20, 2012, at Oakey's Vinton Chapel with Dr. Michael Wrye officiating. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery.
