About	Darlene Anne Morgan, 72, of Roanoke County, passed away on Wednesday, August 22, 2012. Born on May 13, 1940, in Roanoke County, she was the daughter of Doris Hill Morgan Starkey and the late Robert Grant Morgan and stepdaughter to the late Joseph Daniel Starkey. She graduated from William Byrd High School and went to both Westhampton College and Virginia Tech. Darlene began educating middle school children in Henrico and Fairfax County, advancing her career in education into numerous administrative positions. She enjoyed traveling, spending time with friends and family, watching football, NASCAR, and tennis, and was an avid Virginia Tech and Redskins fan. In addition to her mother, surviving to cherish her loving memory is her brother, Bob Morgan and his wife, Patty; sister, Jennifer Wood and her husband, Bruce; niece, Kimberly Morgan; two nephews, Kirk Morgan and his wife, B.J., and Seth Wood and his wife, Catherine; nine great-nieces and nephews; and many more family and friends. A Memorial Service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 12, 2012, at Family Choice Funerals & Cremations, 4922 Valley View Boulevard, N. Roanoke, VA 24012. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Greater Blue Ridge Chapter, 3959 Electric Road, Suite 222, Roanoke, VA.
