Jeremy Stephen Elkins, 32, of Roanoke unexpectedly went home to be with the Lord, Friday, November 29, 2013. He was preceded in death by his father, Joel Stephen Elkins. Jeremy was a 2000 graduate of William Byrd High School and a former employee of UPS. He was a loving and devoted husband and father. Surviving are his wife, Amanda Beth Elkins, children, Jayden Stephen Elkins and Kaelyn Riley Elkins; mother, Sheila Elkins; sister, Stephanie Cole; brother in law, Brandon Cole and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial gifts be made to the funeral home to help cover funeral expenses. A celebration of life service will be held 7 p.m. Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road by Pastor Jeff Gardner.
