Margaret Dillon East Giesen, 87, of Roanoke, passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2014. She was predeceased by her parents, Henry and Macie Dillon, and her husbands, Richard East and George L. "Jack" Giesen. Margaret has been an active member of Riverdale Baptist Church since 1942; she was a graduate of William Byrd High School and worked in the dry cleaning industry for 30 years. Surviving are her one brother, William E. Dillon and wife, Gail, of Fenton, Michigan; three sisters, Doris Arnos and husband, Coy, of Vinton, Angie Dillon and Judy Shelton of Roanoke. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many special friends. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday, December 8, 2014 at the Chapel Mausoleum of Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Lifelong friend, Rev. Rodger Hogan, will officiate. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Oakey's Vinton Chapel. Arrangements by Oakey's Vinton Chapel, 540.982.2221.
