About	Louis “PawPaw” Hogan 90, of Roanoke passed away on Sunday, October 4, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmy and Mary Hogan of Vinton and his brother Charles Hogan. He was a 1947 graduate of William Byrd High School and longtime member of Belmont Baptist Church. He was a World War II Veteran in the U.S. Navy and retired from Appalachian Power Co. after 35 years service. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 66 years Rosie Stovall Hogan, daughters Linda Dore (Bob) of Roanoke and Betsy Weaver (Alvin) of Vinton and sons Jim Hogan (Cathy) of Bedford and Mark Hogan (Sandra) of Roanoke along with eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He is also survived by one brother, William Hogan of Lynchburg,VA. A Celebration of His Life service will be held at 10am on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at Belmont Baptist Church, Roanoke, VA. Interment will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with military honors by the US Navy and Disabled American Veterans, Roanoke Valley Honor Guard. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 at Oakey’s Vinton Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Belmont Baptist Church, 825 Stewart Ave SE, Roanoke, VA.
