About	Barbara Virginia Pedigo Dillon, 94, of Vinton, Va., passed away on Friday, October 6, 2017, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She graduates from William Byrd High School with the Class of 1940. Barbara was employed at Stone Printing and Manufacturing Company for 40 years in the composing department. She was an active member of Vinton Baptist Church where she served as an ordained deacon, Sunday school teacher, and the Director of Woman’s Missionary Union. Barbara was very active with the Virginia Historical Society where she served as past President. She was honored as Outstanding Citizen of Roanoke County in 1994 for her volunteer service. Barbara was also a past volunteer at the Community Hospital of Roanoke. She was a charter member of the Patrick Henry Allied Families of Virginia where she served as treasurer for many years and was constantly doing family genealogy research. Barbara was predeceased by her husband, Norman Fred Dillon; two daughters, Barbara Jane Dillon Falls and Betty Sue Dillon Johnson; one son, Norman Fred Dillon Jr.; brother, Frank Pedigo and wife, Valima; and sister, Helen Sadler and husband, Wayne. Barbara is survived by her son, Kevin Dillon and his wife, Julie, of Roanoke, Va.; brothers, Tommy Pedigo and his wife, Evelyn, of Vinton, and Norman Fred Pedigo and his wife, Betty, of Homosassa, Fla.; sister-in-law, Geneva Dillon of Vinton; daughter-in-law, Lynn Dillon of Mechanicsville, Va.; son-in-law, Kimball Johnson of Wirtz, Va.; grandchildren, Mike Falls and wife, Janet, Travis Falls and wife, Tiffany, Chad Johnson, Robin Dillon Shepherd and husband, Dan, Leslie Johnson and Bradley Dillon; and great-grandchildren, Brandon Falls, Savannah Falls, Austin Falls and Cody Johnson; along with many cousins, nieces and nephews. A Viewing will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, October 8, 2017, at Oakey’s Vinton Chapel. Funeral Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Monday, October 9, 2017, also at Oakey’s Vinton Chapel.
