ROBINSON James Douglas November 23, 2018 James Douglas ('J.D.') Robinson, 73, of Roanoke, passed away Friday, November 23, 2018. He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Kathleen and Joe Beasley. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his cousins, Roy Farmer and Family; and a special friend, Savannah Burnette; who helped when he became disabled. He graduated from William Byrd High School in Vinton, Virginia and was a veteran of the United States Army. He loved playing sports, especially basketball, bowling, and golf. J.D. Retired from General Electric with 30 years of service. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at Highland Memorial Gardens in Dublin, Virginia.
