About	She was predeceased by her husband, Wilburn B. Graves; parents, William J. and Mattie S. Martin; sister, Frances M. Wright of Lynchburg, Va.; and brother, John W. Martin of Roanoke, Va. Surviving are her sister, Norma Jean Markey and sister-in-law Betty Jean Martin, both of Roanoke, and dear friends Patsy Smith, Anne Foard and Valorie Varnado. She was born in Reidsville, NC, on August 25, 1929, grew up in Vinton and graduated from William Byrd High School. She then served 12 years as Legal Secretary to the Admiral at the Naval Air Station in Norfolk where she was presented the Navy Department's Honorary Meritorious Civilian Service Award in 1972. A Celebration of Vilma's Life will be held Friday, March 15, 2019 at the Mechanicsville Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home.
