About	Henry E. Alls, 61, of Roanoke, passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2013. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1970-1978 working on jet aircraft. After serving our country he worked for Ingersoll Rand and Mitchell Distributing. Henry loved hunting, fishing and being in the woods and outdoors. He always portrayed the "Big Tough Marine", yet his heart was as big as gold. He loved helping people. He was preceded in death by his father, Henry L. Alls; step-father, Clyde Cawley. He is survived by his wife, Dawn Alls; son, Brandon Alls; daughter, Michele Whitlock; and five loving grandchildren; his mother, Nancy Cawley Williams and husband, Joseph; sisters, Sherry Graham and husband, Alan and Theresa Alls and husband, Ray; special friends, Junior Wright, Mike Austin, "Little Dave". A special thanks to Dr. Crouse at V.A. Medical Center, the emergency room and palliative care unit at Roanoke Memorial Hospital and especially Good Samaritan Hospice, Katcha, Marcie and Amy for all their help and fast action needed to make my husband's last days easier. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at Oakey's North Chapel, with the Rev. Joe Copolo officiating. The interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery in Vinton. The family will be receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at Oakey's North Chapel.
