Nancy Housman Noell, 66, of Vinton, passed away Friday, October 22, 1999, at Lewis Gale Hospital. She was the daughter of Paul (Pappy) and Mary J. Housman.
Mrs. Noell was a member of Vinton Baptist Church and the LOA Sunday School Class. She was the secretary for the Music Ministry at Vinton Baptist Church, having served four years as a volunteer. Mrs. Noell retired as the administrative assistant from Lewis Gale Clinic after 43 years of service.
Surviving are her husband of 41 years, William M. (Bill) Noell; brother and sister-in-law, Paul J. and Kathryn K. Housman, Roanoke; nieces, Robin Hornstra, Donna Gayle Spencer, Vicki H. Davidson, Marianne H. Hage; nephew, Doug Hamke; grand-nephews, Charlie Hage, and Colton Hornstra; brother-in-law, O. S. Noell, and wife Judy of Bedford; sister-in-law, Shirley Hamke, and husband Bobby of Monroe.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Vinton Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Dr. William L. Ross, the Rev. Byron Greene, and the Rev. Chris Monroe. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, at Oakey's Vinton Chapel. The family suggests that memorials be made to the Music Ministry of Vinton Baptist Church, P. O. Box 306, Vinton, Va. Arrangements by Oakey's Vinton Chapel.
