About Edward Issac "Ike" Muse 81, of Kernersville, N.C. went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 22, 2007 at Forsyth Medical Center. Ike was born on December 9, 1925 to the late Frank T. Muse and Dorcie C. Muse. Ike was a member of Vernon Forest Baptist Church and retired from Norfolk Western Railway. He was an Amateur Radio Operator (W4EIM) and a charter member of the Forsyth County Beekeepers Association. During WW II he served four years in the U.S. Navy Armed Guard. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mildred T. Muse; a brother, Wallace P. Muse and wife, Evon; sisters, Mrs. Lucille Pok and Mrs. Barbara Wray; also surviving are several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 25, 2007 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Pastor James Brown officiating. Burial will be at 3 p.m. at Mountain View Cemetery in Vinton, Va. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 24, 2007 at the funeral home.
