Herbert W. (Dick) Hyler, age 66, of Roanoke, died Monday at his home. He was a son of the late John J. and Esther H. Hyler and was also predeceased by a brother, John W. Hyler. He was a graduate of William Byrd High School and a charter member of the International Union of Elevator Constructors Local No. 137. He was retired from the Dover Elevator Co. Surviving are his son, Jeffrey L. Hyler, Richmond; two sisters, Alma H. Hale, Hopewell, Lillian E. Harrell, Portsmouth; and a number of nieces and nephews. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, November 5, 1992 at Evergreen Burial Park with the Rev. Wm. Anthony Layman officiating. Friends may call at Oakey's Vinton Chapel.
