About	Howard B. Rollins, 73, of Campton Township, St. Charles, Ill., died Wednesday, June 14, 2000 at Loyola Medical Center in Maywood. He was born December 12, 1926 in Spencer, N.C., son of Sylvester Bryan and Ida (Ketchie) Rollins. During World War II, he served in the Army Air Corps. Howard was a graduate of Florida Southern College, Lakeland, Fla., where he was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. He served as Past President of Florida Southern College Alumni Association, was a very active alumni of the fraternity and had just received the "Order of Merit" honor from the National office. Howard received his Masters Degree from the University of Chicago. He was president of Rollins Associates, Inc. in St. Charles. He was a Boy Scout leader with Troop #50 in Wasco. Howard is survived by his wife of almost 46 years, June (Richmond); his children, Sue Rollins of Alexandria, Va., Bryan Rollins of Pompano Beach, Fla. and Barry (Noreen) Rollins of Elmhurst; one brother, Bernard (Virginia) Rollins of Greer, S.C. He was preceded in death by his parents. A funeral service was held 11 a.m. Saturday, June 17, 2000 at Grace Lutheran Church, #5N600 Hanson Rd., Lily Lake, with the Rev. Ernest L. Rex officiating. A graveside service will be conducted Wednesday, June 21, 2000 at 11 a.m. in Mountain View Cemetery, Vinton, Va. Visitation was held from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 16, 2000 at Norris Funeral Home, 100 S. Third St., St. Charles, Ill. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Howard's memory may be made to the Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity, Epsilon-Xi Zeta Chapter Scholarship Fund, 111 Lake Hollingsworth Dr., Lakeland, Fla. or to Florida Southern College Alumni Fund, Lakeland Fla.
