June Laughlin Kelly, of Vinton, Va., went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 18, 2009. She was the daughter of the late James Laughlin and Mary Spickard Laughlin. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John E. "Jack" Kelly; daughter, Nada Lynette Kelly; two brothers, William Laughlin, Jack Laughlin; and sister, Evelyn Byrd. She was a member of Vinton Baptist Church. She worked for many years in photography as a retouch artist. Surviving are daughter, Junellen Chandler and husband, Robert, of Hardy; two grandchildren, Gregory Paul Ferguson, of Asheville, N.C., and Laurel Beth Thomas, of Stewartsville; three greatgrandchildren, Tanner, Chase and Trey; brother, Douglas Laughlin, of Vinton; sisterin-law, Maxine Laughlin, of Roanoke. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday at Lotz Vinton Chapel. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
