Edith Kelly Borden, 80, of Richmond, died Wednesday, May 10, 2000 at University Park Nursing Home.
A daughter of the late Robert Lee and Lola May Kelly, she was born March 11, 1920 in Newport News.
She grew up in Vinton and then moved to Harrisonburg, where she lived the majority of her life.
Mrs. Borden graduated from William Byrd High School and worked at Rockingham National Bank until her retirement. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church.
She married Richard F. (Dick) Borden, who preceded her in death.
Surviving are two brothers, Robert Lee Kelly, Jr. of Abingdon, and James Edward Kelly of Richmond; four nephews, Robert Lee Kelly, III of Roanoke, Paul Kelly of Nashville, Tenn., Richard Kelly of New Jersey and Winfield Kelly Straughen of Harrisonburg; two nieces, Bonnie S. Smith of Hampton and Nellie Kelly Fletcher of District Heights, Md. and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, May 13, 2000 at 2 p.m. in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Middletown, with the Rev. David Brosnan officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Lindsey Harrisonburg Funeral Home.
