David M. Scott, Sr., ("Buck"), 67, of Roanoke, died Friday, January 21, 1994, in a local hospital. He worked at American Bridge and retired from the VA Medical Center in Salem. He was instrumental in establishing the VAMC Federal Credit Union. He is survived by his wife, Caroline C. Scott; son, David M. Scott Jr.; daughter, Mary Ellen Scott; granddaughter, Katie Rose Scott, all of Roanoke. Funeral services will be from Oakey's Roanoke Chapel, 1:30 p.m., Monday, January 24, 1994, with Dr. Jerry Campbell and Dr. James A. Allison Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery. The family suggests memorials be made to the American Diabetes Association, 404 8th St. N.E., Charlottesville, VA 22902. The family will receive friends at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel Saturday 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday noon to 3 p.m.
