About	Oleen Wray Hatcher, 77, of Hardy, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, March 2, 2016. Her parents, Luther and Louise Wray, a granddaughter, two sisters and two sons-in-law preceded her. All who knew Mrs. Hatcher will dearly miss her, a very loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and person. Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 53 years, Buck Hatcher; five children, Penny Jackson, Jay Hatcher and wife, Dillie, all of Roanoke, Cindy Majestic of Minnesota, Ilieta "Sissy" Chitwood and husband, Anthony, of Rocky Mount, and Kenny Hatcher of Hardy; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a brother, Rodney Wray and wife, Karen, of Roanoke; several nieces and nephews; three special caregivers, Ginger Seay, Jennifer Cox and Jessica Merricks. A funeral service celebrating Mrs. Hatcher's life will be held 2 p.m. Monday, March 7, 2016, in Simpson Funeral Home with Chaplain David Simon officiating. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 6, 2016, at the funeral home.
