About	Joann Smith Mott, 56, of Roanoke, passed away Thursday, June 1, 1995, in a local hospital. She was preceded in death by her father, Wilbur (Goose Berry) Smith. Surviving are her husband, E. C. Peters; daughter and son-in-law, Janet C. and Kenneth L. Wells of Roanoke; her mother, Ruth S. Smith of Roanoke; sister, Helen Herndon of Louisville, Ky.; two brothers, Mike Smith and Kenneth Smith, both of Roanoke; also surviving are nieces, nephews and family. Funeral services will be at Oakey's Vinton Chapel at 11:30 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. David Elks officiating. Interment will be in the Mountain View Cemetery, Vinton. Friends may call after 12 noon Friday where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. at Oakey's Vinton Chapel.
