SAUNDERS, Bernard Wayne, ("Silo"), 53, of Vinton, died Thursday, February 10, 1994 in a local hospital. He was a member of Lynn Haven Baptist Church and was retired from the C & P Telephone Company with 25 years service. He was preceded in death by his father Coleman R. Saunders. Surviving are his wife, Brenda Jean Brown Saunders; sons and daughter-in-law, Allan Wayne and Cassandra M. Saunders, Vinton, R.M.S.N. Eric Todd Saunders, U.S. Navy, Norfolk; mother, Frances Elizabeth Saunders; mother-in-law, Louise Stevens Brown, both of Vinton. Funeral services will be conducted from Lynn Haven Baptist Church 11 a.m. Saturday, February 12, 1994 with the Rev. Jay D. Owens and the Rev. Paris E. Bain officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery. Friends may call at Oakey's Vinton Chapel.
