About	Jerry Wilson Furrow, 49, of 100 Northside Dr., died Sunday (July 8) at Waynesboro Community Hospital. He was a former resident of Vinton and Mt. Pleasants. He was born Oct. 18, 1940, in Franklin County, a son of Roy E. and Alberta Meador Furrow. He was a 1959 graduate of William Byrd High School in Vinton, a 1963 graduate of the mechanical engineering school at VPI and was a member and deacon of Westwood Baptist Church in Waynesboro. He had been employed by Du Pont for 27 years. In addition to his mother of Roanoke, survivors include his wife, Joyce Webber Furrow of Waynesboro; two sons, Edward G. Furrow of Fayetteville, N.C., and Keith W. Furrow of Blacksburg; one sister, Cindy F. Dopp of Roanoke; two brothers, Roger W. Furrow of High Point, N.C., and Randy M. Furrow of Kernersville, N.C.; two grandchildren, a niece and nephew. A service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Westwood Baptist Church. Burial will be at 2 p.m. in Mountain View Cemetery in Vinton. The Rev. Jack Mallory will conduct the services. Pallbearers will be Robert Everidge, Larry Doyle, Gene Hagwood, Dr. James Bain, Jerry Stinnett, Steve Rose, Bill Herron and Sherwood Brownlee. Honorary pallbearers will be David Mawyer, Jim Yount and deacons of Westwood Baptist Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 726, Waynesboro, Va. 22980. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at McDow Funeral Home.
