About	On Tuesday, July 27, 2022, John Winfred Clapsaddle, devoted husband, passed away at the age of 65. John was born on March 23, 1957 in Roanoke Virginia to Gene and Mary Clapsaddle. He received his degree in civil and environmental engineering from VA Tech in 1982 and enjoyed a long and prosperous career. He was employed by Colliers Engineering and Design as senior technical manager and was a great asset. On July 13, 2013, he met the love of his life, Rubiela (Ruby) Montoya Simpson, and they married on September 22, 2018. John was a strong influence on Ruby’s two adult children, son Hector and daughter Sasha, and was proud to welcome them as his own. John had a lust for life, and enjoyed carpentry, music, and motorcycles. He amassed an impressive collection of motorcycles and took great pride and pleasure in showing and riding them. He expertly constructed decks, garages, and additions to his various properties, enhancing them all greatly. He was also known for his love of all animals, as well as his kind and compassionate spirit. John was preceded in death by his father, Gene, and his mother, Mary. He is survived by his loving wife, Ruby, son Hector, daughter Sasha, his sisters Sara and Anne, his brother David, cousins Peter and Nathaniel, and others. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, August 3rd, 2022, from 11:00 am-1:00pm at Baker-Post Funeral Home, 10001 Nokesville Rd, Manassas VA 20110.
