About	Linwood Hugh Tucker Sr., 90, of Vinton passed away April 10, 2013. Hugh is a 1941 graduate of William Byrd High School. He attended Staunton Military Academy prior to enrolling in Roanoke College. While attending Roanoke College, he worked at the VA Hospital. He received a BS from Carson-Newman College and a MS at VPI. Hugh worked 37 years as a teacher, coach, principal and division administrator. Hugh loved to fish and play bridge. His passion was sports, whether it was participating, watching his children and grandchildren play or spectating. He was a member of Thrasher Memorial United Methodist Church for 76 years. Hugh is survived by his wife of 65 years, Dixie W. Tucker; son and wife, L. Hugh Tucker, Jr and Linda Sue, son and wife, Thomas P Tucker and Tammy Leigh; daughter and husband, Nathalynn Tucker Lepchitz and Michael; grandsons, Paul and Clif Tucker; granddaughter and husband, Tamara A. Tucker and Ian Wardenski; grandson and wife, Matthew Tucker and Heather; grandsons, Zack and Josh Lepchitz; grandson and wife, Brandon Coake and Jessie; great granddaughter, McKenzie Tucker; and great grandson, Bryce Tucker. A memorial service will be held at 11:00am, Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at Thrasher Memorial United Methodist Church.
