David Moody Firey II, 51, of Salem, passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2012, He was born in Roanoke, the son of the late David M. Firey, and had been an area resident all of his life. He was a veteran of the United States Army.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, November 30, 2012, at the Chapel of John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home, Salem. The Rev. Ken Nienke will officiate. Burial will follow at East Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday November 29, 2012, at the funeral home. Arrangements by John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home, Salem.
