He was the owner and operator of Roanoke Seamless Gutter in Roanoke and was preceded in death by his mother, Violet M. McRoy and a sister, Karen S. Chandler. Surviving were his father, Francis B. McRoy, Roanoke; brother, Buster McRoy, Boones Mill; sisters, Brenda M. Farley and Tammy Goodbar both of Vinton; and nieces and nephews.
