He was born April 8, 1970. Riley graduated from William Byrd High School and was retired from the Roanoke County Police Department. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Riley E. and Mary Christine Meador, Norman P. Meador and Dorothy M. Wainwright; uncle, Harry Mack White, Sr. Surviving are his wife, Julie Meador of Roanoke; son, Riley Edward Meador, III, of Roanoke; father and mother, Jimmie Edward Meador, Sr. and Judy M. Meador of Bedford County; brother, Jimmie Edward Meador, Jr. of Vinton; sister, Tammy M. Scott and her husband, Jimmy of Bedford County; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Elmo and Sandra McLaurin of Roanoke; two sisters-in-law, Tanya McLaurin of Roanoke, Tiffany McLaurin of Alexandria, Va.; brother-in-law, Stuart McLaurin and his wife, Karen of Troutville; several nieces and nephews; best friend and cousin, Dawn Layne of Bedford County. Also remembering many friends and especially those at the Roanoke County Police Department.
