About	Jack C. Harris, 51, of Vinton (formerly of Norfolk), passed away Thursday, March 4, 2004. A graduate of William Byrd High School and the University of Virginia, Jack was a loving and caring husband, father, son and friend who enjoyed nature, golf and being outdoors. He is survived by his wife, Susan T. Harris; daughter, Anne Harris; mother, LaRaine Harris; and brother, Jim Harris. Also surviving are nephews, Brooke and Andrew Harris; and cousins, Bob Sheaff, Norma Roberts and Shirley Campbell. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Monday, March 8, 2004 at Thrasher Memorial United Methodist Church with Pastor Rob Colwell officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Vinton. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Oakey's Vinton Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Reindeer Club Scholarship Fund, c / o William Byrd High School, 2902 Washington Avenue, Vinton, Va. 24179.
