About	Phillip Higgins, 37, passed away Monday, August 6, 2012, with his loving wife, Suzanne, by his side. Phillip was born April 14, 1975, and was a very loving, kind-hearted young man who was immensely loved by many family and friends. Phillip will forever live in the hearts of all who loved him. His adorable smile will be embedded forever in our minds. He had an amazing, outstanding outlook on life and will be dearly missed. Phillip was preceded in death by Syd and Granny Janney Higgins, of Roanoke. Phillip is survived by his wife and best friend, Suzanne Wilkerson Higgins; and two children by a previous marriage, Allison Higgins, 15, and Hunter Higgins, 13; his parents, Donald and Sharon Higgins, of Naples, Fla.; and a brother, Paul Higgins, of Tampa, Fla.; in-laws, Frank and Vickie Wilkerson, of Roanoke; and an uncle, Rodney Rieks, of Gastonia, N.C. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Simpson Funeral Home and Crematory. Family and friends are invited to pay their last respects so that he may be laid to rest. A visitation will be held Thursday, August 9, from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. at Simpson Funeral Home, 5160 Peters Creek Road, Roanoke. Funeral Services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, August 10, at the funeral home with burial at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens to follow. Simpson Funeral Home, Roanoke.
