About	Nicole Leigh Holdren, 33, of Vinton passed peacefully on Monday February 6, 2017 with her loving family by her side. Nicole, also known affectionally as “Smiley was a 2001 graduate of William Byrd High School. She was a lover of life, the outdoors, animals, and mostly her family. A very loving, and caring daughter, granddaughter, and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Surviving are her father, Jeffrey Holdren and wife Pam; mother, Sharon Guthrie and husband Donnie; her paternal grandmother, Annabelle Holdren; brothers, Jeremy Barrett and wife Lori, Mitchell Barrett and wife Jennifer. Along with numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. The family would like to give their heartfelt appreciation and thank you to the Carilion Doctors, Nurses and the staff at Salem Health and Rehab for all their care and support of Nicole. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Brain Injury Services of S.W. Virginia, 3904 Franklin Rd, Suite B, Roanoke, VA. 24019 or to your preferred organization for rescued animals. A memorial service celebrating Nicole’s life will be held 1:00pm Thursday February 9, 2017 at Simpson Funeral Home with Pastor Glenn Stevens officiating.
