About	Mark Edward Dean, 57, of Roanoke, Virginia left this earthly world to be in his heavenly home, Wednesday April 6, 2022 at home. Born October 16, 1964, he lived a life he loved as an avid outdoorsman. Hunting, fishing, participating in Hunters Education as an instructor and competing in several fishing tournaments. He thoroughly enjoyed fishing with his fishing buddy, Tommy Haberl and hunting with his hunting buddy Todd Smith. He also loved to be outdoors with his children and grandchildren. Mark loved spending time with family, friends and a great nephew, Connor Hodges. He loved being at church, volunteering his time and service to those in need. He was absolutely thrilled to play Santa Clause every Christmas. Mark is survived by his parents: Jerry E. and Retha G. Dean, his devoted wife: Sarah Lee Dean, sisters: Jeri Mitchell (Mark), Sharon Washburn (Todd), Children: Kassondra Ramirez (Glen), Alixandra Dean (Nenad), Joshua Holdren (April), Amanda Holdren (Matt) 9 Grandchildren: Chloe, Paxton, Raiden, Khane, Penelope, Evelynn, Noah, Thoren and Ryan. Viewing will be at Oakey's, Vinton Chapel, Friday, April 8, 2022, 7pm – 9pm. A memorial service will be at Charity Baptist Church, 2320 Lovers Lane, Vinton, at 1:30pm Saturday, April 9, 2022. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Mark's memory to Hunters for the Hungry or The Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources.
