Donna Wade Chittum, 40, of Vinton, went to be with the Lord Friday, March 8, 2002. She was an employee of the Optical Cable Company and was a member of the Beaverdam Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a son, Benjamin Caleb Chittum. Surviving are a son, Jacob Edward Chittum; daughter, Brittney Dawn Chittum; former husband, Danny D. Chittum, II of Moneta; parents, Alvin T. Wade, Sr. and Minnie (Polly) Wade of Vinton; brother, Alvin T. (Tommy) Wade, Jr. and wife, Becky of Wirtz; sister, Connie B. Jackson and husband, Kevin of Johnson City, Tenn.; nieces and nephews, Chelsea and Amanda Beckner, Logan and Megan Jackson, and Marci and Jared Ferguson; former mother-in-law, Flora Anne Chittum of Vinton; sister-in-law, Debbie C. Ferguson and husband, Mike of Huddleston. Funeral services will be at the Parkway Wesleyan Church 11 a.m. Monday, March 11, 2002 with Pastor John Ott, the Rev. Donnie Glass, and the Rev. Mike Lauridsen officiating. Interment will be in the Beaverdam Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Oakey's Vinton Chapel.
