About | Donald (Don) Eugene Eubank, 63, of Roanoke, passed away at his home on March 31, 2008. Don was born on June 25, 1944, in Oklahoma City, Okla. to the deceased parents, Helen Wiseman Eubank and Paul Delarue Eubank. He leaves behind his wife of 41 years, Sandra R. Eubank and their three children and ten grandchildren. Retired Army Sargent First Class Donald E. Eubank II and his wife, Melissa, and their two sons, Matthew Kyle and Christopher Cody; Navy Aviation Electrician's Mate Chief Jeffrey Weston Eubank and his wife, Jamie, and their two children, Zachary James and Kayleigh Rachel; also, Jeffrey's two sons, Joshua Weston and Jacob Wade Eubank; stepchildren, Katie Edgerly and Kaycee Brown; his daughter, Regina Lynette Eubank Desper is a graduate of Lynchburg College with a BS in Mathematics and Environmental Science and is currently pursuing her Masters in teaching at St. Martins University and her husband, John Desper; and their two children, Haley Krisin and Chandlor Delarue. Don also leaves behind his three brothers, Bruce Eubank and his wife, Debbie, and two sons, Michael and Mark; Gary Eubank and his daughter, Megan Daniel and son, Bryan Sumner; and Kevin Eubank and his daughter, Sarah. Don Eubank served on the Blue Ridge-Southwest Virginia Film Office Board of Directors for three years, served as Treasurer of the Vision Film Festivals for two years, was a member of the 4 Wheelers Jeep Club, was a founding member of the North Roanoke Athletic Club and served as a "Little league" Baseball coach for several years. He was a graduate of William Byrd High School and attended the University of Virginia. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 3, 2008, at Oakey's North Chapel.
