About	On Tuesday, June 11, 2019, Clint Chumley, 53, of Vinton, Va., passed from this life into eternity with his Lord and Savior. Clint was born to Ralph and Mary Chumley on August 3, 1965. He loved music, sports and most of all his family. He will be greatly missed by his father, Ralph C. Chumley; his sister, Kim Rosa and Don of Watsonville, Calif.; his brother, Cliff Chumley and Jennifer of Roanoke, Va.; his sister, Paige O’Leary and Tim of Chesapeake, Va.; his nieces and nephews, Joseph, Janelle, Kristy, Nicole, Evan, Joshua, Jenna, Kenny and Jacob; and his great-nieces and nephews, Trenton, Myra, Bauer, Hudson and Sutton. He also had many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends who will greatly miss him. Clint was predeceased by his mother, Mary Alice Chumley, and his brother, Dwyane Derek Chumley. He was a graduate of William Byrd High School and worked in their family business in Vinton, Citizens Upholstery and Furniture Company. Clint grew up at New Hope Christian Church and sang in the choir for many years and then worked on the sound ministry. He also served at the Woodmen of the World, as the Lodge President for a number of years, was on the Drill Team and attended conferences as a delegate. The family would like to say “Thank you” to the staff and nurses at Friendship Manor Rehabilitation North. You were so good to Clint and we consider you our family. We would also like to say a special “thank you” to Amanda for being a great nurse, but also a great friend to Clint. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, June 14, 2019, at Oakey’s Vinton Chapel. The Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 15, 2019, at Oakey’s Vinton Chapel. The burial and graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday at the Chumley Family Cemetery located at 3609 Roark Mill Road, Hurt, Va. Online condolences may be expressed at www.oakeys.com .
