Andrew (Drew) Ross Spradling, 17, of Bedford County, flew into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, June 14, 2006. Andrew was a student at William Byrd High School and is survived by his parents, Jerry Lynn and Debra Spradling; his brother, Daniel L. Spradling and wife, Erin of Roanoke; his sisters, Robyn Lynn Spradling-Seay and husband, David of Moneta, Amanda Spradling Dunlop and husband, Paul of Atlanta, Ga.; his grandparents, Elsie Spradling of Moneta, Bill and Janet Cochran of Roanoke; his nephews, Benjamin and Rucker; his uncles, Cecil E. Spradling, Jr., Barry Jarvis; his aunts, Cecelia Cole, Nancy Brown and Darlene Looney; his beloved pup, Junior.
A funeral service celebrating his life will be held at Villa Heights Baptist Church, Monday, June 19, 2006, 2 p.m. with the Rev. John Crawford and the Rev. Brian Clingenpeel officiating. Interment in Mountain View Cemetery, Vinton. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Ronald McDonald House, 850 Second St., SW, Rochester, Minn. 55902. The family will receive friends Sunday after 2 p.m. at Oakey's Vinton Chapel.
